Who is organising the event?

We [Tripleshift] are a small recumbent cycle cycle specialist. Our vision is to bring exciting human powered vehicles to South Africa. We are motivated to do this because it is fun and because we believe that alternative energy solutions should be more important in how we go about things. We can drone on about saving the planet and we do want to help do this. Cars are great machines and help us do amazing things. But they also take away a lot in doing so! Join us as we explore human powered alternatives! Did we mention how much fun it was?

Our goal is to get the event started and to set up suitable partnerships. At the moment these include MTN Sciencentre and Popular Mechanics.

Who can enter?

'fraid it is only open to teams from schools. But make your vehicle anyway. Perhaps we can get some open events going on the side!

Who will benefit?

The participants. Those in the actual teams and all of the people associated with the team effort. There is no official charity. Being there is the benefit! As each team pursues their energy breakthrough we have no doubt that benefits will spin off into the world around them!
